Herbal Essences Bee Strong Conditioner

Herbal Essences Bee Strong Conditioner
also called Honey I'm Strong conditioner

I can't find the Hello Hydration hair mask anywhere (why?!), so I grabbed this instead. For the price it is actuallyquite good. It's thicker than the Hello Hydration mask and moisturises well even my dried up hair. Of course, I use it in a conjunction with a leave-in conditioner (Sexy Healthy Hair Tri-Wheat Leave In), which makes a massive difference by itself. It doesn't smell as amazing as the Hello Hydration line, but it's similarly fruity-floral with a hint of honey. It will be a part of my Top 5 drugstore conditioners post that I have ready.
Price 2.45 € in Müller.

got2b Sprüh Kleber a.k.a Freeze Haispray

got2b Sprüh Kleber a.k.a Freeze Haispray

I expected great hold and this proved too weak. You know those lovely no-heat curls I make that I say last about an hour (picture here)? Well, I wanted something really strong to hold them in place. This unfortunately didn't and I used tons of it. It does leave the hair stiff, yet not particularly sticky, however, I did notice that it dried out my hair. It's not bad, but since it does about the same as the Lee Stafford one, which should obviously have a lighter hold (and feels weightless plus is just overall fantastic), I obviously prefer that one. This one smells lovely sweet fruity-candy-ish and the scent really lingers in my hair.

Red

Red

There is nothing more iconic than a red pout and while I love my Manhattan Soft Mat Lip Cream in 45H, I wanted a really bright matte red. I had my mind set on finding a drugstore shade similar to Mac's Ruby Woo and some internet research pointed me into direction of Bourjois lip pencils. The shade is called 20 Rouge Soyeux - a matte blue toned true red. Another red I purchased along the way is Essence's Stay with me lipgloss in 07 Kiss Kiss Kiss.

Bourjois pencils are not the softest pencils in the world, but the colour does stay put for hours. It survives eating and drinking with no problems and most importantly it doesn't transfer (that is of course if you don't put any lipgloss or lip balm on top). It leaves a matte finish, this unfortunately does mean it's quite dry and your lips have to be perfect or it will emphasize every dry patch.

Here is a swatch of the combination of pencil plus Lip Smacker Coca-Cola Cherry.

And here is my growing collection of Stay with me lipglosses by Essence. I'm not a fan of lipgloss, I almost never wear it, but these are my favourite because they are very pigmented, smell really nice like fruity and candy, aren't too sticky and of course they are cheap. Here is a link to previous swatches and review click. 07 Kiss Kiss Kiss is a nicely pigmented bright red. It a nice way of wearing red without being too much.

Thanks for reading!

got2b Volumania Volumizing Spray Mousse

got2b Volumania Volumizing Spray Mousse

Probably my favourite product in the bunch. A mousse in a spray form - genius! It's so easy to apply evenly and I can really control the amount I want. It's not sticky, doesn't weigh my hair down and holds style so well. Both the mousse and styling powder smell like a raspberry drink (Dana's Malinovec), so pretty much delicious. I apply it all over the hair, concentrating on the roots. The spray makes it easy to apply it evenly to the roots and the length of the hair, however, you can spray it in your palm if that is what you prefer. I then do my regular thing: blow-dry with a round brush and put my hair in a high bun. I had tons of volume in the morning, like always, but this time my hair didn't drop in the next hour. I then curled it with a 2,5 cm (1 inch) barrel curler. It holds volume for a day, but the hair needs to be "refluffed" in the morning, which is pretty much standard with any mousse I tried so far. I was even more impressed how well my curls lasted as they still looked great on the third day. Having volume brings the necessary evil, the ever annoying frizz, and yes, also with this mousse, but it looks much, much better than Balea's Power Volume mousse. This is the best styling mousse I've tried to date, but I only had drugstore ones so far. I highly recommend it.

Regular price is about 6 €. It's widely available in drugstores and some supermarkets.

BALEA SWEET WONDERLAND

BALEA SWEET WONDERLAND

Ok, I'm cheating here because it's not a single product but a product line. Balea (brand sold in DM's) always manages make some super cool products and they did it again. Sweet Wonderland is their current LE that smells like a cup of Nesquick cocoa. Yummy! Unfortunately, for some reason they don't sell the shower gel in Slovenia (I got mine in Austria), but mini deodorant and lip balm are available in our DMs. If you love chocolate scented products this will be right up your alley. Too bad it's LE. By the way, it is the same scent as at Balea's Bademomente Sinnesfroh bath salt in Kakao.

Something Cute

Something Cute

I got this as a gift for someone, but I had to share them here because they are so damn cute. These are little rose shaped bath soaps that I got in Jysk (European furniture and home decoration shops). You're supposed to pop them into a bath like a bath bomb. They have that generic rose scent that I'm not a fan of, but there is another version with different shades of roses and scent. I believe they were about 2 €.

Have a great day!

New In April

New In April

Just a quick post, focused more on pictures because I intend to do full reviews for most of the products.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Permanent Taupe
Maybelline finally started selling these in Slovenia. I got only one but I have On and on bronze on my wishlist (it's much more stunning in person than on swatches). I'll post a full review on Permanent Taupe soon.

Catrice Ultimate Color Matt About Pink
A stunning peachy pink lipstick. I already have the pictures and I'll post a review probably sometime next week.

Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Plus
My first Japanese mascara. I got it because I heard that it holds curl well. I got it two days ago and I can say the claims are true, but I need some time to get used to the brush. I'm not sure when I'll post a review, I want to test it thoroughly first.

Essence Frame 4 Fame lash glue
The cheapest lash glue I could find. I don't wear false lashes often, but I have Misslyn's individual lashes and I just ordered Ardell's Demi Wispies from lookfantastic, both don't have the lash adhesive included. I could splurge for Duo, but for now this is ok. It's too liquidy and I can't get much of product on the false lashes, but it holds very well. I've only tried it with individual lashes so far and none fell off before I took my make up off. Edit: I tried it with Ardell's Demi Wispies and it held well for about 8 hours, but then the lashes started to pop up on both corners, however it held in the middle until I took my make up off. So in short, it ok for individual lashes, but I would get something else for strip eyelashes.

Balea Young Zucker Schnute Deo Roll-on
I needed a new deodorant and this one was the cheapest, so I just put it in my basket. I really don't like it. Considering it has sugar in the name, the sugary part of the scent is very faint. It smells like a generic deodorant scent with a hint of lemon sweets. It works though.

Balea Hawai Pineapple shower gel
Smells like pina colada and fresh pineapple. Review here.

Balea Mango Brazil Shower gel
Smells like the white Haribo gummy bear. Review here.

Batiste Tropical dry shampoo
I got the absolutely huge can (400 ml) from Asos. Review soon.

This is an old picture of my purchase from Cheeryculture, but I didn't want it to go to waste. Reviews for Nyx blushes and Milani eyeliner will be published first so keep your eyes peeled.
Milani Liquif'eye eyeliner in Gold
Nyx Black Label lipstick India - I got it for my cousin, but I did take a few pictures and a quick swatch. Pictures will be in an upcoming post.
Nyx Rouge Cream blush Natural
Nyx blush Taupe
Cherry Culture lip balm chocolate - smells like coffee and I hate the smell of coffee. I got it for free as a gift with purchase.

Garnier Ultra Doux Heritage Provence Apricot and Almond shampoo
I got it for my family and of course, I tested it myself. It's great for my dry hair as it doesn't dry it out at all. It smells like ice tea (Ledeni čaj brusnica od Sole) and bubble gum. One of the best drugstore shampoos for dry hair. It's paraben and silicone free, you can see the ingredients here.

Fructis Fruity Passion shampoo
Another shampoo I got for my family. The scent is absolutely brilliant, a proper sweet passion fruit scent, I adore it. It did dry my hair out, but I will be using it as a shower gel occasionally, because I love the scent. Ingredients here.

Garnier Ultimate Beauty oil
Review here.

John Frieda Brilliant brunette moisturising conditioner
A drugstore conditioner that I repurchased numerous times. This is the only conditioner/mask after which my hair smell nice for days, because normally my hair never retains the scent of the conditioner or shampoo I use. It smells amazing, like a mix of coconut and caramel. It's one of the best drugstore conditioners for dry hair. Picture of the ingredientshere.
Some more pictures because too much work goes into them to waste them. Click on them to see a larger view:

got2b Öl-La-La Styling Öl-Spray

got2b Öl-La-La Styling Öl-Spray
also called Oil-licious Triple Oil Dry Oil Mist

Healthy hair and shine in a can. That's how I would describe this product. But mind you, I mean it just cheats the appearance of having healthy hair, it doesn't actually nourish it much. It's an innovative concept - argan oil in a spray can, even though it's the last ingredient on the INCI list and there are two silicones high on the list. Orofluido has something similar called Sahara, but this is much lighter. It gives an amazing amount of shine, just like using any of the silicone-oil hybrids (OrofluidoMorrocanoil,...) and helps fight the frizz, but without the fear of ruining the hairstyle or curls because of touching (my curls always drop if I touch them). I'm impressed got2b! Another very likeable product.
The scent is a bit out of place, especially after trying the Volumania products. It's far from fruity and it's more like a generic soap or lipstick scent. I actually quite like it. I can spray a ton of it on my hair and it doesn't weigh it down one bit, build up or make it oily, however, my hair is dry and thick. It think it would work for fine hair, but maybe used in moderation. But this is the best way for any of such girls to use an oil product.
Regular price is 6.99 €. I found it only in Müller.

Lee Stafford Hold Tight Hold Firm Hairspray

Lee Stafford Hold Tight Hold Firm

Hairspray

I really like this hairspray. It has a nice flexible hold without being stickydoesn't feel crispy or stiff at all and Idon't even feel it on the hair. I find it similar to Tigi Mastermind (only that it's cheaper and easier to get) andL'Oreal's Elnett extra strong, but without the Elnett scent that so many people dislike (I actually find it very similar to Chanel n.5). In fact, I tried L'Oreal's and Lee Staffords side by side and I notice no difference whatsoever. Hold Tight Hold Firm has a musky and sweet scent, which is apparently a signature scent of the Lee Stafford products and it reminds me a bit of Thierry Mugler Angel if I remember that fragrance correctly.

50 ml can costs 2.45 € in Müller. I don't know the price for the 250 ml can, but it's about 7-9€.
